Manolo Blahnik - Palais Royal, Paris 2019
Manolo Blahnik chose David Thomas Design to design his long awaited Paris store located in the Paris’s historic Palais Royal. The space was originally the Café Corazzo founded in 1787. Working closely with Manolo Blahnik, DTD chose to highlight the existing limestone floors and to cover walls and ceiling in a pale grey polished plaster, adding 100 bespoke Georgian wall sconces for maximum shoe display. The light filled stairwell became the perfect gallery for Manolo’s whimsical shoe portraits, and the upstairs mezzanine was transformed into a mahogany clad club to showcase the brand’s recent creations for Men.
With all of these elements combined, David Thomas Design unifies a harmonious and welcoming atmosphere, a unique environment for a luxury clientèle.
